How to play

  • You may play online, using the mobile app, or at a Loto-Québec retailer.
  • Lotto Hockey can only be played using Quick Pick (play randomly generated by Loto-Québec’s computer).
  • One play costs $2 or $5 and is composed of a Quick Play (shots on goal) and an Extra number for the evening draw (each Extra number is made up of 7 digits from 0 to 9).
  • Only one number for the Extra draw may be played on the same ticket.
  • Quick Play is a game that is randomly generated by Loto-Québec’s computer. At the time the transaction is processed, a hockey player, a goal keeper and 5 prizes, located in the net, are displayed on the screen. According to the wager ($2 or $5), the hockey player has 4 or 5 shots to try to hit the prizes. If, during the shots, the pucks hit one or more prizes, you win the prize(s) hit. A message on the screen indicates whether or not the Quick Play wins. Your Extra number for the draw will be displayed following the Quick Play animation.
  • Each Extra draw is conducted as follows: Loto-Québec conducts a random draw using 7 ball machines each containing 10 balls numbered from 0 to 9. One ball is drawn from each ball machine to form the winning number. This number is decomposable in both directions (see the Prize structures and odds of winning).
  • The draw is performed in accordance with the rules governing Extra.
  • You must pay for your ticket before Quick Play starts. It is impossible to cancel a Lotto Hockey ticket.
  • Lotto Hockey is governed by the By-law respecting forecast contests and numbers games, published in the Gazette officielle du Québec, which includes limitations of liability.
